Why South Africa?
Under the auspices of African Global Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) and Illinois Chamber of Commerce (International Business Council) ,This trade mission aims at taking US Companies/ investors to meet with South African Public Agencies and Private entrepreneurs for investment opportunities through Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, Workshops, field visits, and cultural tours.
Johannesburg (Jo’burg) is the wealthiest and largest province in South Africa with a population of the greater metropolitan area over 7 million. It boasts the largest economy of any region in Sub-Saharan Africa and is one of the 40 largest metropolitan areas in the world. Jo’burg is the source of a large-scale gold and diamond trade, due to its location on the mineral-rich Witwatersrand range of hills.
Cape Town is South Africa’s second-most populated city at about 4 million people and is home to the National Parliament and is the legislative capital of the country. It is one of the world’s great tourist cities with visitors flocking in to enjoy sublime scenery, famous wine farms and historic architecture.
Durban is the third most populous city in South Africa after Johannesburg and Cape Town – and the largest city in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal. Located on the east coast of South Africa, Durban is famous for being the busiest port in the country. It has a population of about 3.44 million and is the second most important manufacturing hub in South Africa after Johannesburg.
